Draycir has been shortlisted as one of three finalists in the Enterprise through Innovation category of the Leicestershire Business Awards 2009.
The award recognises businesses that are achieving significant growth in turnover and profits, relative to their size, through innovation of products or services. Judges are also looking for firms with an innovative approach to customers and business ethos.
The winners will be announced at the Leicestershire Business Awards dinner – celebrating the achievements of outstanding businesses in the county – to be held at De Montfort Hall, Leicester on 24th April, 2009 to an audience of 650 business leaders.
Robert Ball, Draycir’s managing director, said: “It means a lot that we have been selected as a finalist in this category, as it recognises our endeavours to consistently offer innovative solutions to real business problems. As a result of our efforts in this area we have seen double-digit growth year-on-year, which we are all incredibly proud of.
“In this difficult climate, demand for our software is going through the roof as the technology enables businesses to be more environmentally friendly, reduce the time it takes to get paid and save thousands of pounds – as well as improving cashflow, reducing the risk of bad debt and saving precious time. In a recession, this can really make a difference as to whether a business fails or thrives.”
Judges for the innovation category are looking for companies that have demonstrated the development or exploitation of novel technology or innovative processes, either to a product or service or in their approach to the marketplace.
They have been impressed with Draycir’s software range, which integrates with business and accountancy applications from providers such as Microsoft and Sage enabling time-consuming processes such as invoicing to be automated.
The nomination is the latest in a series of successes for Draycir, which scooped the Sage Innovation Award in 2007 and was shortlisted for the Sage Developer of the Year Award in 2008.
